Unexpected Beauty
Flowers taught me an important lesson. One I should have seen earlier, but was too busy to notice. A lesson that I now see clearly.
Flowers have a quiet stillness and a complexity that fills the air.
When viewed from afar they appear tiny, simple, somewhat irrelevant.
Upon a closer look, I start to see their detail, their flaws, and their beauty.
Upon a closer look, I appreciate their vividness, the way they lift their heads and unfold their petals.
Their life is short but their purpose clear.
To grow, to open, to fill each day with their gifts.
To bloom.
